Kenya 2015

Kenya 2015

Semakula Denis and I travelled on the overnight coach from Kampala to Nairobi. It took 12 hours.

On arrival at Nairobi, we were met by David, who was an employee of Kennedy Mwangi, who was the tour operative I had booked with via Facebook.

David took us to our Guest House and told us that Kennedy was on another tour and would be with us shortly to arrange our excursions.

When Kennedy came to visit us later, I said that I would like us to visit the Masai Mara, for a Safari. He also suggested we stay in an ego lodge, plus visit an elephant orphanage.

I looked on the UK visa website, to check on bringing Semakula Denis,to the UK. But quickly found that this would not be possible. The criteria to do so meant him having a bank account for a minimum of 6 months with regular amounts going into it every month..

So I had to tell Denis that he would have to travel back to Kampala.

The day Kennedy picked Denis up to catch the coach, was very emotional. Denis said to me ” Whenever I think of a mother, I will think of you. “
